Session Basics

The alces session component is included with all base ClusterWare installations - and is used to start and manage interactive VNC sessions.

The alces session component allows users to create several types of VNC sessions depending on the level of access required - including:

• Full gnome desktop session
• Basic terminal session

All alces session commands should be from your ClusterWare master node.
